We currently have partnership with Syracuse Latin School here in Syracuse. It begins on October 2nd and ends on May 9, 2024. Monday-Thursday.
We will have an after program presentation to their parents and staff to show what they've worked so hard on!
Arts in Education Program:
African dance and drum program from kindergarten to universities:
Teaching dancing and drumming in the schools provides students with an incredible multicultural experience. Learning about African culture through interactive lessons has a profound effect on the students.
Colleges/Universities:
Master Dance Classes:
Master dance classes begin with a 20-minute warmup. Traditional West African dance steps will be broken down to accommodate all levels and abilities. Live drumming. Students will learn the dance name and its place of origin.
DRUMMING workshops:
Master drum classes enable students to learn basic, traditional West African rhythms. They will learn the drum name and its place of origin.We provided: African dance/drum workshops, master class, lecture/demonstration included performances.
Lecture/Demonstration:
The artist will share his culture with the students, including the history of dance, drum and mask along with providing demonstrations of dance and drum. Students will be able to ask questions at the end of the lecture.
